What is Special Scholarship Program (SSP)?

Special Scholarship Program (SSP) was established in 2003 in order to support the advanced research of the university by enlisting the help of highly capable international students. Every year in April and October, the university enrolls selected foreign doctoral students under specific research projects. The students pursue the doctoral course in English while at the same time assisting their host professor as a research assistant (RA). Through this program KUT wishes to expand and deepen international ties with academic and educational institutions all over the world.

In the 2006 - 2008 period, 9 talented students from outside the EER received financial support from our MMD Study Fund. For the 2009 curriculum year, 6 talented non-EER students have been selected that receive full scholarships covering all study and living costs. These students come from Turkey, India, Ethiopia, and Zambia.

For the 2010 curriculum year, we will also select 6 non-EER students that will receive a full scholarship. Candidates for the MMD scholarship however must apply before 1 December 2009 and thereby can also apply for HFP or NFP fellowships (deadlines 1 February and 1 March 2010 respectively).

KOMPAS.com — Para pelajar Indonesia di Eropa membentuk LintangIndonesia untuk menggalang dana pendidikan beasiswa bagi siswa SMA/MA atau yang sederajat dan kurang mampu di tahun ajaran 2009/2010 ini.

Sampai detik ini, masih banyak anak Indonesia yang terhambat pendidikannya karena masalah biaya. Padahal, di sisi lain, pendidikan itu sendiri merupakan investasi besar bagi masa depan bangsa.

Berbekal kesadaran akan pentingnya pendidikan itulah, LintangIndonesia melakukan gerakan penggalangan dana yang disalurkan sebagai beasiswa pendidikan bagi para pelajar di Indonesia. Beasiswa tersebut diberikan selama 12 bulan, sejak Juli 2009–Juni 2010.
