Chinese Government Scholarship scheme is established by the Ministry of Education of P.R. China (hereinafter referred to as MOE) in accordance with educational exchange agreements or understandings reached between Chinese government and governments of other countries, organizations,education institutions and relevant international organizations to provide both full scholarships and partial scholarships to international students and scholars. MOE entrusts China Scholarship Council (hereinafter referred to as CSC) to manage the recruitment and carry out the routine management of Chinese Government Scholarship Programs.

Giessen University`s International Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture (GCSC), funded by the German federal government`s Excellence Initiative, offers a three-year structured PhD-programme in the study of culture. With its excellent research environment, a doctoral programme which is tailored to the needs of PhD students and the intensive personal support it provides, the GCSC offers postgraduate students optimum conditions for their PhD-projects and a custom-made preparation for the time thereafter, both with regard to academic and non-academic careers.

From 1st October 2010, we offer up to 9 PhD scholarships.

PhD scholarships include a monthly stipend of approximately 1.100 and are offered for one year with the possibility of two extensions, each of a year. Scholarships commence on 1st October, 2010.
The GCSC is dedicated to excellent research in eight defined research areas: Memory Cultures | Culture and Narration | Culture and Performativity | Visual Culture | Culture, Language and the New Media | Culture and Identities | Political and Transnational Cultures | Cultures of Knowledge, Research and Education.

Welcome to take part in institution-based mobility organised by 6 EU universities and 5 universities in Indonesia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Viet Nam.

The EM-EuroAsia is a scholarship programme for undergraduate, graduate, doctoral and post-doctoral studies and academic staff which is financed by the European Commission. The scholarship will cover travel, insurance, possible tuition, living expenses and housing.

Please note that fields of study will be find on your left hand menu and available fields of study are only those listed here meaning that you can not apply for other courses or programs than the ones listed here. Please do also note that NO applications should be submitted directly to any contact person but has to be submitted through the online application system.

What is Special Scholarship Program (SSP)?

Special Scholarship Program (SSP) was established in 2003 in order to support the advanced research of the university by enlisting the help of highly capable international students. Every year in April and October, the university enrolls selected foreign doctoral students under specific research projects. The students pursue the doctoral course in English while at the same time assisting their host professor as a research assistant (RA). Through this program KUT wishes to expand and deepen international ties with academic and educational institutions all over the world.
