Public call for applications for scholarships for doctorate studies of foreign citizens in the Republic of Slovenia in the academic year 2010/2011

1. The subject of the call for applications

The subject of this call for applications are scholarships for foreign citizens pursuing doctoral studies in natural sciences, technology or medicine at higher education level institutions in the Republic of Slovenia from academic year 2010/2011 onward, till the end of studies.

For classification of study field in the area of education classification KLASIUS-P of Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia (hereinafter referred to as SURS), available at
http://stat. si/doc.klasif/ Klasius-P. pdf, shall apply. The fallowing categories of the classification KLASIUS_P fall into fields of natural sciences, technology and medicine:

6. Agriculture, Forestry, Fischery and Veterinary Science
7. Health
8. Transportation Services
9. Environmental Studies.

General Information

IIEF in coorperation with the East-West Center is giving Master Degre Scholarship Program for individuals who are interested in joining the education and research program of University of Hawaii, Manoa to obtain their Masters Degree.
This scholarship is available for Masters Degree (24 months) and Doctorate Degree (48 months). Through this program, scholars will have the opportunity to join research projects in their field of studies such as economy, politics and security, environmental, population and health, education as well as development in Asia Pacific region. Furthermore, University of Hawaii, Manoa also offers to certify Master Degree programs in the fields of Leaership Study, International Cultural Study, Population Study and Resources Management Study.

Background
Scholarships have played a significant role in Australia’s development cooperation program in Indonesia, with around 11,000 scholarships provided over more than 50 years. ADS continues to be a major component of the program with up to 350 scholarships offered in 2010.

The off-shore component of the ADS Program is managed by IDP through an IDP established ADS Project Office in Jakarta to ensure efficient end effective administration of the ADS scheme in Indonesia.

Each year, the Australian Government sponsors people from a number of developing countries to study in Australia through Australian Development Scholarships (ADS). The Australian Development Scholarship program in Indonesia aims to promote private and public sector human resource development in areas of agreed development priority.
This is achieved by providing post-graduate scholarships for Indonesians to study in Australia and by working in close cooperation with the Indonesian Government to deliver a program which is flexible to Indonesia’s human resource development needs.

[Thailand] Asian Institute of Technology (AIT)

Their Majesties, the King and Queen of Thailand , graciously provide master’s degree scholarships for study of various specializations at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT).
